Behavior Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one direct services to clients with autism in the home and/or community
  • Implement individualized skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction treatment plans developed by supervising BCBA
  • Document sessions and collect data
  • Monitor & report client progress to supervising BCBA
  • Provide assistance in training family
  • Follow all Behavior Basics and relevant insurance company policies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education, psychology, or related field preferred
  • Pursuing or intent of pursuing BCBA or BCaBA
  • Experience working with children with autism
  • Experience dealing with challenging behaviors
  • Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Valid First Aid & CPR certification
  • Spanish fluency not required, but beneficial

 

Board Certified Behavior Analyst/Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Complete descriptive and systematic assessments, including functional behavior assessments, ABLLS-R, VB-Mapp, AFLS and other relevant assessments
  • Develop treatment plans with objective skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction goals and detailed procedures based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Design, implement and monitor data collection systems
  • Monitor, implement and review behavior-analytic programs
  • Document sessions and write and submit progress reports
  • Oversee behavior technicians (and BCaBA) responsible for implementing direct services
  • Provide one-on-one direct services, as needed
  • Provide parent training and parent support (IEP or other meetings)
  • If credentialed, and interested, provide supervision to staff seeking BCBA supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education or related field
  • Board Certification (BCBA-D, BCBA or BCaBA) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Licensure as an LBA from the Virginia Board of Medicine
  • Experience working with children on the autism spectrum
  • One to two years experience preferred, but entry-level will be considered
  • At least two years experience as a BCBA if interested in providing BCBA supervision and must have met the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s Supervisor Requirements
  • Experience training staff and/or families preferred
  • Must be highly motivated, proactive, self-starter and work well as part of a team
  • Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Must pass background check
  • Valid First Aid & CPR certification
  • Flexible schedule; you choose which clients to accept and which days/hours to work
  • All position start as part-time, with the potential of becoming full-time based on caseload and commitment
  • Hourly income based on experience
  • Spanish fluency not required, but beneficial
